Candle Care
We know you're excited to light your candle and so are we, but don't forget a few basics...
- Trim the wick to ¼ of an inch before each burn for an even burn and to limit sooting of the wick (and trim the wick after each burn!)
- When lighting for the first time, ensure the wax melts across the entire surface to prevent tunneling
- Do not burn your candle for more than 3-4 hours at a time (pro tip: this preserves the fragrance really well)
- Do not let a candle burn all the way; best practice is top stop burning when there is ¼ inch of wax left in the vessel
- Keep the wax pool free of wick trimmings and debris
- Extinguish candle with a snugger, do not blow out
- If the flame becomes too high, extinguish and let the candle cool before re-lighting
- Do not leave a burning candle unattended and leave out of reach of children and pets
- Never burn a candle on or near anything that can catch fire; keep burning candles away from drafts
- Always store your candles in a cool, dark area
